Description
Inject lips – irresistibly sensual
When women have lip injections, they either want fuller and more sensual lips, more symmetry or an optimized lip contour. Injecting your lips is quick and the results can be seen shortly after application. To do this, the person treating you makes up to 10 small punctures around the lips and injects the filling material, the filler. This can be a bit painful, but anesthetic cream applied beforehand will ease the pain.

Doctors and patients predominantly choose hyaluronic acid for lip injections. It is well tolerated because it occurs in the body and can be broken down again. Other fillers would be your own fat or collagen. Such an operation takes about half an hour and can be had for just 200 euros. In addition to the natural ones mentioned, there are also artificial fillers that are used for lip injections. These include “Artecoll” or silicone polymer. They consist of tiny plastic beads and remain permanently in the lips.

Side effects of lip injections include pain following the procedure, allergic reactions, swelling or infection. If the filler is injected incorrectly, for example into veins or arteries, it can lead to severe bruising, necrosis or non-healing wounds. Here the doctor must take immediate medical measures as there is a risk of serious damage such as blindness. Go safe. Take precautions with beautyprotect. In an emergency, this saves you the high costs of follow-up treatments that are not covered by health insurance.

Before the procedure
Instructions for preparing for lip injections
Performed by specialists, lip injections have a relatively low risk of complications. Only have this treatment carried out by a doctor who specializes in lip injections. Beauticians are not allowed to carry out this procedure. Alternative practitioners are generally not sufficiently qualified. Please also note the following information:

  • Get comprehensive information before lip injections. In a treatment form you indicate whether you have any previous illnesses or allergies. This should be mandatory.
  • Do not take any blood-thinning medications such as painkillers or sleeping pills before treatment. You should also avoid alcohol.
  • It's best to stop smoking to promote healing.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you will have to wait before applying lip injections.

One tip:Try the lip look with “Cinderella Lips”. To do this, the doctor injects a saline solution into the areas of the mouth, which disappears after 24 hours. Women can examine the results before real fillers are injected. Of course, side effects such as swelling, infections or bruises are also possible here.

Aftercare
What you should consider after lip injections
Since lip injections with hyaluronic acid and similar natural fillers do not take place under general anesthesia, and usually not even under local anesthesia, you usually hardly expect any after-effects. You will be fit again straight away and can go about your everyday life as normal. We still have some recommendations for you:

  • Don't use lipstick again until the following day and don't kiss for 24 hours.
  • Even after lip injections, you should avoid painkillers, alcohol and smoking for at least four hours.
  • You should also not consume any hot food or drinks during this time.
  • Take it easy in the first few days after lip injections and avoid putting pressure on your lips.
  • You should not have any dental work, facial massages, or other cosmetic facial treatments for approximately two weeks after lip injections.

Botox for wrinklesIf the oft-quoted fountain of youth actually exists, its water probably contains botulinum toxin, or Botox for short. If you want to benefit from this effect, don't go swimming in it, but instead have the drug injected into your skin. Wrinkles are visibly smoothed and the youthful appearance is restored.Learn more →
