About the follow-up cost insurance beautyprotect

In 2007, we identified an urgent need: a planned law threatened to create a gap – patients would in future be required to pay out of pocket if corrective treatments became necessary following aesthetic procedures.

Beauty is an expensive commodity. Patients needed a safety net to protect them from financial risks – not only in Germany, but also in other European countries and in Switzerland. The name beautyprotect was intended to make the simple principle of "follow-up cost insurance for cosmetic surgery" tangible and understandable in a single term, across all national borders. Together with our insurance partner Squarelife Insurance AG and with the support of one of the largest German associations for plastic and aesthetic surgery, a tailor-made insurance solution was developed step by step.

At the same time as the law came into force, the goal was achieved: to make a customer-friendly insurance solution accessible to patients, allowing them to undergo cosmetic surgery without at least having to worry about the financial aspects.

Our success speaks for itself. Currently we have handled more than 14.000 claims due to complications. This demonstrates not only the immense need, but also the great trust that more and more people place in us.
